In neighborhoods with Boys & Girls
Clubs, young people learn to avoid crime and drugs.
They learn to believe
in themselves because caring club professionals believe
in them and hold them accountable for their actions.
The clubs are safe and clean places that develop youth to the expectations of
our demanding society. You can be part of the club by joining our
Back A
Kid Campaign.
According to the Elko County Juvenile
Justice System, in 2001, tax payers paid $38,000 a year per incarcerated
youth. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Elko provides a positive place for a child
for $500.00 per year. It is a proven fact that Boys & Girls Clubs members
are three times less likely to join a gang, experiment with illegal
substances, engage in early sexual activity, commit suicide, and/or enter the
juvenile justice system. Boys & Girls Clubs, a proven delinquency prevention
program, is one of the best bargains in America.
Join us and lets give our children a
healthy, positive future.
